On Friday May 24, together with the Visual and Material History Working Group, we visited the newly reopened and redesigned Florentine natural history museum La Specola. La Specola houses several wonderful historical artefacts and collections, from stuffed animals and skeletons to an anatomical wax collection. We also had the chance to visit the Tribuna di Galileo, a secular temple from the mid-19th century dedicated to Galileo. Thank you to the Visual and Material History Working Group as well as to the staff of La Specola who guided us through the museum!
